December 2009 CALL FOR DONATIONS In late February 2010, I will be travelling to Uganda with an organisation called the Ryan's Well Foundation. I will be volunteering my time and talent to document their water and sanitation projects with the goal of creating compassionate, empowering photographs that will be used by Ryan’s Well to educate, motivate and raise awareness of the important work they do in developing countries. I am holding a fundraising event on December 10 to raise money to offset my travel costs. Click here for more information on attending and/or offering a donation to the silent auction. If you would like to donate directly to Ryan's Well, please click here. If you can't attend the fundraiser but would like to support my work, please click the Donate button below to donate through PayPal. | Lesley Marino’s love for travel and photography began at an early age. By the age of 18 she had travelled to both Europe and Asia, always with camera in hand. She began seriously exploring photography in her twenties after travelling to Southern India to complete field work for her master’s degree. Since then she has travelled the world, to places both mundane and spectacular, both urban and remote, in order to capture the people, places and events that now make up the subjects of her impressive portfolio. In recent years, Lesley has also taken an interest in wedding photography; documenting a joyous rite of passage in her unique and unscripted reportage style – a style that is as beautifully composed as it is honest. |
